Hey! I’m officially a big fan of Captain Marvel!!! I really loved the movie, certainly one of my favorite Marvel movies and I’m really proud and happy to have collaborate on this movie! Honestly the movie is smart, still with this particular Marvel balance between drama/humor/action and emotion! Yes there is a lot of emotion in it, at least for me. I can’t developp more here bc I don’t want to spoil but there would be a lot to discuss about the movie, especially some few hints that seem relevant to current issues. I knew the character since a long time (I was reading the Avengers younger and I can even remember not only Carol Danvers but also the others Captain Marvel : Monica Rambeau for exemple!) but here it’s a new fresh beginning. And now I should be able to show concept arts I’ve done (there is a ton of them in the official art book hurray!!!). I was working under the marvelous guidance of @andyparkart and really proud to work amongst a team of so talented killer artists : @ryan_meinerding_art @anthony_francisco_art @jwsze @rodneyimages @ianjoynerart @stephenschirle @constantinesekeris And so here is a first exploration of Carol Danvers look as a Terran/Kree elite pilot. Usually it’s not a good idea of spending too much time on a background while you’re working on a character concept but I couldn’t help myself here! :) #captainmarvel #marvelstudios #mcu #marvelcinematicuniverse #marvel #conceptart #conceptdesign #characterdesign #pilot #caroldanvers #digitalpainting
