Au moment de l'annonce originale, le projet de one-shot de St-Valentin de DC Comics pour cette nouvelle année, Crimes of Passion, avait laissé dans le flou certains des créateurs mobilisés. Au moment de livrer le communiqué officiel, n'étaient nommés que les scénaristes James Tynion IV, Steve Orlando, Sina Grace et Stephanie Phillips, aux côtés des artistes Greg Smallwood, Riley Rossmo, Andie Tong, Mike Norton et Anthony Spay, avec l'acteur Jay Baruchel en bonus, et un modeste "et d'autres gugus" pour éviter de surcharger les mentions d'usage.
